Northern Ireland's Good Friday Agreement
'The Troubles' lasted almost 30 years and cost the lives of more than 3,500 people.
Almost 25 years ago, on 10th April 1998, the Good Friday Agreement was signed. The deal brought an end to 30 years of conflict in Northern Ireland, known as the Troubles. Since then the agreement has touched on every aspect of life in Northern Ireland - from the political institutions, such as the power-sharing government, to Brexit.
