'It's what we enjoy - tinkering and fixing together'

Ever since 'The Repair Shop' became a hit on television there's been an increase in people having a go at making and fixing stuff. In fact, the lockdown turbo-charged that trend when people were stuck at home at a loose end.

Edd and Louise Hames started up their company 'Tinker and Fix' after Edd's 90-year-old grandpa passed down his tool roll after 50 years of use, which Edd wanted to remake to the original design to pass on to his own son.

Before long they were also selling some of the tools Edd had received as gifts. Now they're selling tools to people all over the world, whilst continuing to tinker and fix, restore and repair from their workshop in Rutland.

Ben Jackson has been to meet them.
