Documenting the impact of Boko Haram
Nigerian photojournalist Nelly Ating has been documenting events across Nigeria including the rise of Boko Haram and its impact on the young women and girls they captured.
She鈥檚 currently studying for her PhD in the UK looking at the role of photography and human rights.
Nelly spoke to The Cultural Frontline鈥檚 Andrea Kidd about her work, the people whose stories she鈥檚 been telling and her experience of PTSD:
"For a while I felt very numb, I couldn't walk...I had been carrying a burden of pain and feeling helpless. You cover these stories and you walk away not knowing what to do, knowing that justice is never going to be served."
