Is there a way of making synthetic hair use more sustainable?
The global hair extension and wigs market is worth over six billion dollars and expected to more than double over the next five years. And that's largely down to increased demand for the most affordable type of hair - synthetic. But that hair is made up of plastic fibres, which are not biodegradable - and when they're thrown away, end up in landfill sites or clogging water bodies. But is there a way of making synthetic hair use more sustainable? The 麻豆社's Eunice Gatonye reports from Nairobi, Kenya.
