Women in Sierra Leone turn subsitence rice farming into profitable business
Sierra Leone relies heavily on agriculture which accounts for almost half of the country鈥檚 Gross Domestic Product. Sixty percent of the population work in the agriculture sector, a majority, women. Subsistence farming is a key industry, but a group of women has managed to turn theirs into a highly profitable business. 麻豆社 News Womens 脕ffairs Journalist, Azeezat Olaoluwa has been to Matagelema in Southern Sierra Leone to see what the women are up to.
