Episode 2
The van life on the open road, a first trip to the Copelands, crab fishing with friends, or just being out on a three-wheeler bike - freedom has many forms down at the caravan!
In this episode, Jim takes a boat trip to the tiny archipelago of Millisle, which proves to be an eye-opening experience for him.
Other summer visitors to Millisle include a group of teenagers who get to enjoy carefree days at the caravan that are hard to find at home in Belfast - and for them the highlight of the summer is the 11th night ‘boney’.
Heather brings her special-needs son Scott to a caravan park in Cranfield, where he can roam around at will on his three-wheeler bike. Trouble strikes, however, when his bike breaks down, but luckily a fellow caravanner steps in with a surprise.
Terry and Linda are a retired couple with a caravan in Ballycastle, at one of NI’s newest caravan parks. With their working lives behind them, they give thanks for being able to do exactly as they please at the park.
Owen has a van rather than a caravan, but he has converted it into a home on wheels and fitted it out with an array of mod cons, meaning he can go anywhere he chooses to pursue his passion for drone photography.
