Liz Truss tells Laura Kuenssberg - "I should have laid the ground better"

The PM tells Laura Kuenssberg she'll press on with her economic plans - but she acknowleges that she and her team got some things wrong.

The 麻豆社's Laura Kuenssberg says four things were abundantly clear from her long conversation with the Prime Minister Liz Truss on 麻豆社 1's Sunday Programme.

She says "Liz Truss has no intention of changing her plans for the economy; her decisions may well involve spending cuts in the next few years; she didn't consult her Cabinet over the most controversial decision, scrapping the 45p top rate. And she knows the last week has not been an unalloyed success. Her mini-mea culpa about the handling of the mini-budget was a straightforward admission that she and her team got some things wrong".
