Driveway tribute to Queen and Prince Philip

Lorraine Douglas turned to painting during the pandemic, health issues stopped her from being able to enjoy outdoor activities so she took to using spray painting large canvasses. After painting tributes to NHS workers she created an oversized portrait of the queen. Passers-by were able to help themselves to face masks and hand sanitiser that was in a handbag attached to the painting. She later painted a portrait to honour the life of Prince Philip following his death. Her wish would be for the painting to make its way to Buckingham Palace to be seen by the Royal Family. In fact artwork of Lorraine's portrait of the Queen was selected to be sent to the palace in a competition arranged by the West Midlands Lieutenancy. Lorraine is yet to hear if it ever made it and indeed if the Queen herself ever got to see it. Lorraine's been sharing what the painting meant to her with 麻豆社 CWR's Marian McNamee.
