As the cost of living increases, animal charities say they're seeing record numbers of people making the heart-breaking decision to give their pets up for adoption.
It's something every pet owner hopes they never have to do. For many, pets are part of the family, and to give them away would be like giving away a child. But as the cost of living continues to rise - including the price of pet food and vet bills - animals charities are reporting record numbers of people giving up their animals for adoption because they can't afford them anymore.
