What would Margaret Thatcher say?

The enduring power of the Thatcher legacy

Leadership hopeful Rishi Sunak was 10-years-old when Margaret Thatcher was ejected from Downing Street. Liz Truss was just 15-years-old.

Although her name was not mentioned in last night's TV debate memories of Margaret Thatcher hang over the choice the Conservative Party now has to make. Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss are not just both children of the Thatcher age, they are both self-avowed Thatcherites and both claim that their economic visions take us back to the future. Today鈥檚 Nick Robinson looks at the enduring power of the Thatcher legacy and why the question of what the Lady would do has real currency in today鈥檚 debate between Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak.
