At any given time, there are at least 200 children below the age of 4, who were either born in prison or being raised behind bars with their mothers serving sentence in Kenya. These children find themselves in jail for crimes unknown to them. To bring normalcy, the Kenyan Prisons Service has started day care centers in the prisons to offer them a conducive environment for their development. The 麻豆社鈥榮 Agnes Penda visited the Machakos Women鈥檚 prison in Eastern Kenya and shares this story.
