Sergiy Stakhovsky: Swapping rackets for rifles in Ukraine

Sergiy Stakhovsky is a tennis star in his native Ukraine and beyond. In 2013, he knocked Roger Federer out of Wimbledon.

He retired in January after the Australian Open, and was on holiday in Dubai with his wife and three children when Russia invaded Ukraine.

He decided to return to Ukraine, joining the military and taking up arms to defend his country.

He says: "If I stayed home I would feel happy with my kids, but I would feel guilt that I never tried to help my country. Right now, I feel guilt that I left my kids at home."
