Martin Lewis: Online Safety Bill to include scam ads
Martin Lewis explains the changes made to the Online Safety Bill
As founder of Money Saving Expert, Martin Lewis鈥檚 face has regularly been used to promote fraudulent adverts online and he has relentlessly campaigned to have these scam adverts included in the Online Safety Bill; an Act of Parliament intended to protect internet users and improve internet safety.
Martin joined Nihal Arthanayake for his weekly money-saving feature. He explained the impact scams can have on individual wellbeing and talked through the further protections now added to the Online Safety Bill.

鈥淪cams doesn鈥檛 sound that bad鈥he impact of a scam is not just that it can destroy someone鈥檚 financial life, it can absolutely knock their self esteem for the rest of their life, it causes serious mental health issues and it leads some to take their own lives, which is why this isn鈥檛 a trivial issue,鈥 explains Martin.
