Coverage of the men's freeski slopestyle final at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Norway’s Birk Ruud is arguably the best male freeskier in the world right now and after his big air gold medal last Wednesday, he looks the man to beat. He qualified in second behind Andri Ragettli of Switzerland – the 23-year-old has seven World Cup wins, five X Games medals, four Crystal Globes and one World Championship title, but is yet to add an Olympic medal to that haul. The USA are very well represented here – Nicholas Goepper laid down the third-highest run in qualifying with an 82.51, while Alex Hall and Colby Stevenson both have a genuine medal chance. Austrian 17-year-old Matej Svancer is an exciting prospect and a former Youth Olympic Games gold medallist.
