GB's Mica McNeill and Montell Douglas are among those in the 2-woman bobsleigh at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Pilot McNeill finished eighth in PyeongChang, Britain鈥檚 best finish two-woman bobsleigh. She is now paired with former sprinter Douglas, who will become the first woman to represent GB in different sports at the summer and winter Olympics. The duo will hope to fare better than GB鈥檚 two-man crew, who ended 11th after overturning on their third run. While McNeil鈥檚 only World Cup medal this season came in an event most of the top crews skipped, she made a promising start in training, finishing third fastest in each of her opening two runs. She was 10th and 11th quickest in runs three and four, before skipping the final two.

This competition will see Kaillie Humphries, winner of the inaugural monobob title on Monday, vying to claim her fourth Olympic gold. That would equal the record held by German pilot Andre Lange and brakeman Kevin Kuske. Humphries won two-woman gold in 2010 and 2014 plus bronze in 2018, but has since switched allegiance from Canada to the USA after a major fall-out with Canadian bobsleigh officials. The 36-year-old is the only non-German to have won gold at the National Sliding Centre in Yanqing following Teutonic domination of luge and skeleton. Germany claimed an unprecedented podium clean sweep in the two-man event and are sure to be strong here. Laura Nolte, Kim Kalicki and Olympic champion Mariama Jamanka have all impressed in training.
