Mum feels lucky to be alive after Smethwick fire
A Smethwick woman who was rescued after a hoverboard exploded in her home is warning people to be careful when charging electrical items.
Nearly 30 firefighters were called to Stony Lane last month after a lithium ion battery set alight while on charge in the living room.
Jacqueline Barrett, who has multiple sclerosis and heart problems, was rescued from her bedroom just a few feet away.
She was put in an induced coma in hospital but is now recovering and she's spoken for the first time to our reporter Megan Jones.
