‘It is a miracle that I’m still here’
Michael Richardson from Glenfield set himself the challenge of walking 999 miles in a year to raise funds for Leicester Hospitals Charity, and he's on the verge of accomplishing his goal.
What makes this even more remarkable is the fact that he had a really serious cardiac arrest just before Christmas last year, which then led to a severe brain injury which kept him in hospital for a number of months.
Doctors didn't think he would survive, let alone recover to the point that he was able to walk across the county in aid of a great cause.
Michael told Â鶹Éç Radio Leicester’s Summaya Mughal all about it.
