The risk of terrorist attacks by the Somali-based Islamist group al-Shabab continues to trouble East Africa. Kenya has in the past been a seedbed for recruiters with the terror groups targeting youth who come from areas with high levels of poverty. Despite the government's counterterrorism efforts, the problem persists. 麻豆社's Eunice Gatonye interviewed mothers whose sons have been recruited by the terror group.
