An apology for delayed brochures
Coventry City of Culture trust will review how they distribute future promotional brochures for 2021 events, after residents in Coventry received booklets advertising past events.
Creative Director of UK City of Culture 2021, Chenine Bhathena, speaks with 麻豆社 CWR's Lorna Bailey and addresses criticisms of late delivery of event brochures.
麻豆社 CWR has been told the booklets cost twenty nine thousand pounds to distribute amongst households in the city and have been given this statement by the trust:
"At the beginning of September, the Coventry City of Culture Trust issued the first of its What鈥檚 On brochures. The brochure was available to pick up from locations across the city, given out in its thousands at Godiva Festival and from 13 September was delivered to every household in Coventry. The brochure supplemented print that has been distributed over the Summer for City of Culture events and Assembly Festival Gardens. It also served to promote the opportunity to sign up to be a City Host, the City of Culture App and our shop on Hertford Street, as well as sharing more detail on the City of Culture themes.
The next brochure, that will take us through Winter to Spring, is already in production and will be available from November."
People are advised by the trust to sign up to the UK City of Culture 2021 website, in order to be kept fully up to date. They say information is also available in the 2021 shop in Coventry City centre or at arts venues in the city.
