Westlife play their first post-lockdown gig to an intimate, but loud and lively audience of Radio 2 fans at the Ulster Hall in Belfast.

Presented by Zoe Ball, the band were smiling ear to ear as they took to the stage for the first time, clearly having a great time being part of the series of Radio 2 Live 2021 events, taking place in front of some of the first small audiences at live music venues across the UK.

Set in the beautiful and ornate Belfast venue of Ulster Hall: Shane, Mark, Kian and Nicky performed with their live band, playing both full-on and stripped-back versions of eight of their songs. The show included their own hits, including Hello My Love, World Of Our Own and Flying Without Wings, plus some of their famous covers such as Uptown Girl. The show ended on an emotional rendition of You Raise Me Up, which was clearly a very heartfelt moment for the four lads, and the intimacy reaches reaches far out into both the audience at the venue and to viewers watching at home.
