120 year old wagon restored by Warwickshire volunteers over three years
Around twenty people have been involved in the restoration of a logging wagon found discarded in a garden on the edge of Brandon Woods. The woods are owned and managed by the local community who decided to have a go at restoring the wagon once they realised what it was.
With support and donations from specialist firms they've spent three years completing their restoration project and now have a fully working wagon that weighs around a tonne.
They know some of the history of the wagon but not all and believe it may have been used at one time on the Warwick Estate.
They hope to find horses strong enough to pull the wagon for at least one journey.
