'It's really hard to talk about actually'
Downing Street has announced 'immediate steps' aimed at improving safety for women and girls in the wake of the death of Sarah Everard.
The Safer Streets Fund is being increased to 拢45m which will be available for improvements to CCTV and street lighting. Ministers say they'll also work to improve safety around bars, clubs and pubs.
麻豆社 Radio Leicester's Jimmy Carpenter spoke to Wajeeda Yusuf, who with her friend Anisha Karolia, are planning to set up women safety matters workshops, after she experienced a disturbing incident whilst she was exercising at her local park over the weekend.
Shortly after, Jimmy spoke to Lord Willy Bach, Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire and Rutland, who was listening to Wajeeda's story.
