Poole sailor Pip Hare first British skipper to finish Vendée Globe 2020-21
British solo skipper Pip Hare has fulfilled a dream that she's held since she was a teenager.
She's just completed the Vendée Globe round-the-world yacht race.
After more than three months alone at sea, Pip crossed the finish line at 0057 on 12 February 2021.
She finished in 95 days, 11 hours, 37 mins and 30 seconds.
She's the first Brit to finish this year, and only the eighth women ever to complete the race.
She spoke to Â鶹Éç Radio Solent's Dorset breakfast presenter Steve Harris.
