Hidden History at the Pitt Rivers Pt 1
Phil Mercer-Kelly starts a series looking at how the world famous Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford is tackling its imperial roots. In this episode the director Dr Laura Van Broekhoven explains why the 130 year collection needs to address its sometimes racist and derogatory labelling and displays by joining up with those communities that the objects were sometimes forcibly taken from.
