‘World’s youngest pilot’ flies glider solo on 14th birthday
Alex Westgate isn't old enough to drive a car, but is allowed to fly a glider plane solo.
Which is what he did on Wednesday 9 December, on his 14th birthday at the Gliding Centre, at Husbands Bosworth Airfield.
Alex, his dad Guy Westgate and Rob Barsby, who are both airshow pilots, spoke to Â鶹Éç Radio Leicester's Jimmy Carpenter.
