Did David Bowie pay for a car park in Warwickshire?
A Warwickshire man says David Bowie paid for their Village Hall Car Park.
Norman says he first wrote to David Bowie in 2014 asking him to come and perform at Binley Woods Village Hall. He says he received a letter from David's son Duncan in late 2014 saying he couldn鈥檛 perform because he was ill. Norman continued to write to David Bowie over the next two years and wrote a total of six letters.
In 2016, 10 days after David Bowie's death, according to Norman David's son Duncan wrote a letter saying they would donate 拢10,116. The amount significant because of the date he died, 10th Jan 2016. Norman set up a bank account and money was deposited, he's since used it to create the village car park.
