Working 24-hour shifts as an ambulance driver in Karachi
Muhammad Safdar is an ambulance driver with charity-run service Edhi in Karachi, Pakistan.
With only basic medical training, he has been working without paramedics, dealing with situations from bomb blasts and gunshot wounds to cardiac issues and others.
But things have improved over the 15 years he's been on the job. We spoke with him in early March 2020.
