South African winemaker protests with giant empty table
Petrus Bosman is a South African winemaker in Wellington in the Western Cape. He's one of those taking part in protests across the country to raise awareness of jobs lost in the tourism and hospitality industries, after coronavirus restrictions.
A 200-metre long empty table is meant to represent the impact of the recent renewal of the alcohol ban and night-time curfew to try to combat Covid-19 and ease pressure on hospitals.
South Africans taking part in the protests have been using #JobsSaveLives on social media.
