A&E nurse gets standing ovation after recovering from coronavirus
Watch the moment A&E nurse Franco Palo was given a standing ovation by his colleagues as he left hospital after a nine week battle with coronavirus.
Franco, who has worked at Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow for almost 20 years, told Â鶹Éç Radio 5 Live Drive he is "very thankful" to have come through the illness.
Speaking to Tony Livesey, he said that he felt all the "love, the prayers, the support" from his colleagues.
He also revealed that despite feeling better, the disease has caused him to experience hand tremors and some problems with his kidneys.
"My goal is to come back [to work] once everything is sorted out" he said.
