Study shows Black people are nearly twice as likely to die with coronavirus as white people
Black men and women are nearly twice as likely to die with coronavirus as white people in England and Wales. The analysis shows the inequality persists after taking into account age, where people live and some measures of deprivation and prior health. Cecile Wright is a professor of Sociology at the University of Nottingham, and gives her reaction to the figures from the Office for National Statistics
