Which health conditions make Covid-19 a more serious risk?
Pre-existing illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease are more prevalent in black and ethnic minority communities and mean they are more likely to die from the coronavirus. Dr Kamlesh Khunti, a professor of primary care diabetes and vascular medicine at Leicester University Hospital in the UK, explains why this is the case.
