James Beattie: 'I wanted to try and help somebody out'
Former England and Southampton striker James Beattie has told 麻豆社 Radio 5 Live why he wanted to help deliver food parcels to people self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic.
Beattie told Drive presenter Tony Livesey: "I feel a little bit helpless in the house, so I wanted to get out there and try and help somebody in a time of need."
His volunteer work for the Saints Foundation involves helping in FareShare鈥檚 warehouse and packing up the heavy food before it gets delivered.
