We have entered the unknown. Every day brings immense changes to our daily lives. Schools being shut down with children coming home indefinitely. Exams in jeopardy. People in London facing far tighter restrictions on travel and going out. The number of soldiers on standby has doubled to twenty thousand.
All of this will cause huge damage to the economy - with the threat of companies going out of business and many job losses.
Comparisons are being made with the global financial crisis. Gordon Brown was Prime Minister at that time.
