Rosamond Asiamah, bears the distinction of having been Ghana’s first ever police Woman. Rosemond, popularly known as PW 1, enlisted in what was then known as the Gold coast police force in 1952. She subsequently fought for the right of female officers to marry and have children without having to exit the force.
