Art exhibition opens windows into the minds of inmates
Unlocked聽is a collection of artwork created by men serving sentences at HMP Leicester, HMP Stocken in Rutland and the now-closed HMP Glen Parva, as well as those on remand and on probation.聽
More than 200 men serving sentences have taken part in the scheme so far. Artworks feature personal testimonies about how art is helping to transform their lives.
Part of the installation includes a like-for-like cell from the Rutland prison, including a bed, toilet, mirror and desk.
麻豆社 Radio Leicester's Helen McCarthy spoke to ex-offenders Jermaine and Granville about their life inside a prison cell and what they hope people take away from the exhibtion.
