A plot to assassinate the Queen
On the 2nd March 1882, an event in Windsor nearly changed the course of history forever when a man called Roderick Maclean attempted to assassinate Queen Victoria.
Maclean's shot narrowly missed but went on to make him an infamous historical figure.
A new exhibition by the Windsor and Royal Berkshire Museum though questions Maclean's true motives and tells the untold story behind the day Queen Victoria was nearly killed in Windsor.
Kirsten O'Brien was joined by the exhibitions' curator Becky Trabar.
