'Four murders in 10 weeks - this is not normal'
MPs share their experience of crime during a debate on police funding and tackling crime, The government has promised to recruit 20,000 more police officers across England and Wales. But that pledge will roughly restore numbers to the levels of a decade ago, before a series of cuts.
And with some violent crime rising, Labour have called on ministers to go further and recruit two thousand more - on top of those promised.
