The robot tuna outbeating swimmers
Engineering scientist Prof Hilary Bart-Smith and her team at the University of Virginia have developed a fast-swimming robotic tuna. The tunabot can explore areas of the ocean that are too dangerous for humans and could be used to check bridge supports or assess environmental damage.
