Smart sensors to monitor urban bats
As cities become more populated, scientists like Professor Kate Jones from University College London, UK, have been looking for more efficient methods to monitor urban biodiversity.
By putting up acoustic sensors in the Queen Elizabeth Park in East London, Kate has been able to record the activities of bats and learn more about the species that live there. She explains how this information will help to manage the ecosystem for the benefit of wildlife, including the bat populations.
