The TOEIC test

It's the language test that's the key for many people seeking to study and live here.

The TOEIC test is designed to measure the conversational English skills of students applying for a UK visa. But a few years ago the system's credibility was badly damaged.
A 麻豆社 investigation in 2014 found systematic cheating on the test, resulting in the Home Office cancelling nearly 26 thousand Visa applications.

Campaigners now say thousands of students may have been wrongly accused, by the UK Government, of fraud, losing their right to study in this country. Home Secretary Sajid Javid said he's reviewing the case.

Our social affairs correspondent Chris Clements has been to meet two people trying to clear their names.
