Why were the Vikings such good dairy farmers?
Most people focus on their battles, but Greenland's Vikings were also efficient dairy farmers - using every part of the milk produced by the cattle they raised. But looking at the proteins preserved in their tooth tartar, anthropologist Christina Warinner discovered that their success was finally thwarted by climate change.
