#sextakeover poll: STIs and sexual performance
On Tuesday 20th November 5 Live is hosted the #sextakeover - a day of programming focussed on sexual behaviour, relationships and attitudes in the UK.
As part of the event, we commissioned a poll to find out more about the UK's attitudes towards sex.
Three in five (62%) British adults agree they would feel embarrassed to admit to friends and family that they had an STI.
Three in five (58%) British adults agree they are generally confident about their sexual performance.
Only half (52%) of British adults agree they are satisfied with their sex life.
This video was made produced by students from the University of Sunderland.
[ComRes interviewed 2,066 British adults online between 7th and 8th November 2018. The data were weighted to be representative of all British adults by age, gender, region and social grade. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules.]
