My mum's death inspired me to start my first business
Emily developed anorexia around the time her mum was dying of cancer. Looking back, she says the day she was admitted to hospital was worse than the day her mum died - but it was the treatment she received there that slowly allowed her to beat her eating disorder. That experience inspired Emily to start her own business, creating boxes of snacks for people who are struggling to eat, whether because of chemotherapy, Alzheimer's or mental health problems. The aim is to provide some comfort for people who feel they're entirely alone at a real low point in their lives.
