Malawi activists in bid to block Gandhi statue
Over 3,000 people have signed a petition opposing a planned statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Malawi's commercial capital Blantyre. The "Gandhi Must Fall" group claim not only that the Indian independence hero did nothing for the southern African country - they accuse him of being a racist.
The 麻豆社's Alex Ritson has been speaking to Jimmy Kainja from the University of Malawi who backed petition.
