A young mother with cancer has been denied the new disability allowance - why?
Despite having Hodgkin Lymphoma, 28 year old mum Roisin McWilliams was denied PIP.
Disability Living Allowance is changing to Personal Independence Payment or PIP. As a result, more than 100,000 people in Northern Ireland are being reassessed, and new applicants assessed for the first time - including 28 year old mum Roisin McWilliams.
Roisin was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on Christmas Day. She underwent a PIP assessment but, despite having Hodgkin Lymphoma, was been turned down.
