Andy Votel on the importance of communities in art and music
As part of our celebration of art schools on 6 Music, Huw talks to Andy about his work as a graphic designer, which has included creating over 150 record sleeves!
Andy Votel's clients include Gilles Peterson, Badly Drawn Boy, David Holmes, and Cate Le Bon. He was also the in-house designer for Fat City recordings.
Aside from working as a graphic designer, Votel is also a musician, a DJ, the co-founder of both Twisted Nerve Records and Finders Keepers Records, and has produced music for artists including Badly Drawn Boy, Elbow and Gruff Rhys.
