Harriet Harman on the difficulties of being a pregnant MP
Ahead of tomorrow's debate in the House of Commons on proxy voting for MP's on baby leave, Harriet Harman argues that it enables MPs to cast a vote on behalf of their constituency and be seen to do so. It would also help avoid the reputational damage the many women MPs who have been accused of being lazy because they have been unable to vote while taking maternity leave.
