I used baking as my rehab after having a stroke
Richard is 26 and goes by the name 'The Wee Baker'. In 2013 he underwent decompression surgery on his spine, and when he woke up discovered he'd had a stroke which left him unable to move. Doctors told him he'd never walk or have use of his hands again. But Richard was determined to prove them wrong, so he began baking as a form of therapy to rehabilitate his upper body strength. After feeling the improvements in his confidence, body strength and mental health, Richard wants to use baking as a form of rehabilitation for stroke survivors and others suffering spinal injuries.
