The World as a Vortex of Lines
Vincent van Gogh painted one of his most well-known paintings, The Starry Night, during a stay at a French psychiatric hospital in 1889. It went on to change the course of art history as British art historian Lucrezia Walker and Louis van Tilborgh, Senior Researcher from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, explain.
