Can a pyjama rave get more kids reading?
It can be hard to find time as a parent to sleep, let alone find time to go to a rave.
Seven Stories, the National Centre for Children's Books in Newcastle, hosted a 'pyjama rave' for families - allowing parents to rave with their babies.
The rave was part of an exhibition called 'Time to Get Up', which aimed to encourage kids to incorporate reading into their daily routines.
According to the National Literacy Trust, the North East has some of the lowest literacy levels in England, with 60% of wards in the region having 'significant literary need'.
Exhibition manager Alison Fisher says the events focus on "bringing books into your every day and sharing them together".
